Tyre recycling plant – London

Project: Private equity shareholders, (overseas family investment house), extremely concerned owing to poor performance of their £1m plus 50% equity and loan investment in business following fire at one of the premises. Our role was to recover as much value as possible for shareholders in a critical situation where there was initially significant distrust of the management team.

Solution: Introduced regular financial reporting system, cash flow management strategy and entered into sensitive negotiations. Assisting in bringing the business back to a position of stability.

Outcome: From a calamitous opening position, shareholders were able to eventually recover 75% of their total investment.  My client’s shareholding was eventually sold back to the management a year after my appointment. Approximately 25 jobs were also maintained.

‘Tim is a very experienced turnaround professional. Tim and I worked together at TMP back in the mid to late 90's where we all learned a great deal about rescue, recovery, turnaround and insolvency. He has a very quick mind and can deliver strategies and solutions rapidly. Over recent years he has helped turnaround and grow some interesting companies, whilst also working with asset based lenders to recover their poorly performing clients’
